Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions shall refer to Just Dancing Performing Arts as JDPA.

A) FEES:

All classes are to be paid for in full at the beginning of the term – within 2 weeks of receipt of the invoice. A late fee of £10 will be added to the invoice if payment is not made within the above noted deadline

Fees are to be paid by bank transfer or cash. Cheques will not be accepted.

Fees are subject to change and JDPA will notify you in advance in writing of any increase in fees.

Receipts will only be provided upon request.

B) CLASSES:

Any classes missed can be made up for on a separate day.

Any extended period of absence due to illness already paid for can be refunded with receipt of a doctor’s note.

Should any pupil wish to discontinue any class or leave the school, refunds for any unused classes will not be given.

Classes that are cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or teacher illness will be re-scheduled although this may not be on the same day as the original lesson. If a class can’t be re-scheduled the class will be taken off the following term's fees.

All term dates are provided on the JDPA website and it is the responsibility of the parent/ guardian to familiarize themselves with the dates. Refunds for missed classes will not be given.

If we are placed in local or national lockdown then all classes will be held online through Zoom (or other virtual means) until we can return to physical classes. No refunds will be issued if you can’t attend the virtual class.

C) PERSONAL PROPERTY:

Please ensure that your child goes to the toilet before class and brings a bottle of water if desired into the studio

It is the responsibility of the parent/ guardian to name ALL pieces of uniform or belongings (i.e., water bottles, bags) and to check when leaving that they have all their possessions with them.

JDPA does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to property left on the premises. For security reasons, JDPA recommends valuables are not brought to class.
D) CHILD COLLECTION:

JDPA endeavour to ensure that your children are dancing in a safe and comfortable environment. We ask you bring and collect your child promptly and provide us with written details of changes in drop-off/pickup arrangements.

The student’s parent/guardian are responsible for informing JDPA of any changes to the student’s medical conditions or parent/guardian/emergency contact information. All details will be held in strict confidence as per the JDPA Data Protection Policy, as stated on the JDPA website, drafted in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Pupils will not be allowed to leave the dance area until they are collected in person. Written permission is required, for students below the age of 16, should you wish your child to be allowed to leave unsupervised.

All students must be registered for the classes they attend. Unregistered children will not be allowed to participate in the class.

JDPA is not a registered as a body that offers childcare, therefore it is essential that a parent or guardian remain on the premises while a child under 5yrs is in class.

E) STUDENT BEHAVIOUR:

All uniform must be paid for before it is ordered

Pupils are required to attend class wearing the correct uniform as noted within the uniform section of the JDPA website.

Student’s hair must be tied up and off the face and secured in a suitable manner. Students +11yr old must wear their hair in a bun for ballet classes.

No jewellery is to be worn in class; this includes watches an earrings.

Mobile phones must be switched off, and the teacher has a right to confiscate mobile phones if used or heard within the duration of the class. The student will receive the mobile phone after the lesson ends.

No chewing gum is allowed.

Pupils will be asked to leave without notice for any serious breach of the school’s terms and conditions or for any serious misconduct.

From time to time it is necessary for the teachers to use physical contact when helping to improve pupil’s posture or assist in movement. This includes physical contact between students i.e., holding hands.

E) PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO RECORDING:

I understand and give consent to use of photography and video recording from time to time including the JDPA website, social media accounts, internet, for press and promotional material for the development of the school.

F) GENERAL:
-
The school does not discriminate on background, race or religion, regularly monitors staff to maintain school teaching policies and adheres to Health and Safety procedures to ensure that each child dances in a class appropriate to their level of development.

Students and their parents/ guardians will respect the building when participating in classes and the property and neighbours when arriving for & leaving class, by keeping rooms tidy and free of rubbish and keeping noise levels to a minimum.

G) CONSENT:

By enrolling my son/daughter into Just Dance Performing Arts (JDPA), I confirm that I accept the above terms and conditions.
